This morning, as the sun kissed the shores of Bronte Beach, a group of wellness enthusiasts gathered to celebrate the launch of EirWaves, a new surf and skate apparel brand. Bondi Rescue star Harries Carroll and his wife Emily led us through a rejuvenating session of Pilates, breathing, and stretching, embodying the spirit of EirWaves.

Sarah Dawes, the visionary behind EirWaves, greeted us with her signature warmth and passion. "EirWaves isn’t just a brand," she said with a smile, "it’s a community that celebrates courage, authenticity, and the spirit of adventure." Dawes, a devoted Bondi local and mother of two, founded EirWaves from her deep connection with the ocean and its therapeutic benefits.

After years in corporate sales and a difficult divorce, Dawes felt burnt out and uninspired. It was during this challenging time that she discovered surfing. "Out on the water, I felt renewed," she shared. "The ocean's healing powers, like reduced stress and anxiety, transformed my life." This profound experience ignited her desire to help others lead active, healthy lives.

Drawing inspiration from her five-year career in the charity sector, Dawes dedicated herself to serving the community. Her roles in fundraising at the Black Dog Institute and the Prince of Wales Hospital Foundation (POWHF) instilled in her a deep sense of purpose. EirWaves is a manifestation of this purpose, blending fashion and function to enhance wellness.
