Transforming the Agger Fish Building in Brooklyn into a vivid, playful dreamscape, Hearst presented an ethereal and ethically-conscious collection for Fall. Her dedication to sustainability shone brightly, with a strong emphasis on replacing traditional materials with eco-friendly alternatives such as recycled cotton and woven cashmere.
What appeared to be denim was an ingenious blend of recycled cotton mixed with linen, while cashmere gowns, wool capes, and detailed lace dresses beautifully balanced sophistication with whimsy. These elements came together in a tactile feast that featured everything from mixed shearling blanket-like coats to supple slip dresses and a meticulously handwoven scarlet wool cape.
Hearst's flair for the avant-garde was evident in the lashings of lace panels and bursts of metallic gold, which contrasted with chic black cashmere knits and flared leg trousers.
